All-Tran Transmission Service, Inc. started in 1967 by Allan & Nancy Willig on a $6,000 loan a used air compressor and Allan's personal hand tools. Initially All-Tran had 1 additional employee named Howard Hobbs who rebuilt automatic transmissions. Times were very hard in those days as there were 5 other shops in the area. But by offering good work, fair prices and a great warrantee, All-Tran continued to grow until today we employ 6 full time technicians, plus a Service Manager and Brian Willig who acts as Parts Department Manager. Our senior transmission technician has 26 years with us and can build virtually and American or foreign unit around.
Our Service Advisor/Manager since July 2002 is George Gianos. George is an ASE Certified Master Technician. He is so knowledgeable about transmissions and cars in general that many of the general repair shops in the area call him for help with problem cars in their shop. It's this diagnostic ability that allows him to save the customer possibly hundreds of dollars.
It's common for us to have a customer into the shop that has been told by another repair or service center that they need a rebuilt transmission, only to find it's some minor electrical problem or a simple adjustment.
